What drives and motivates us stems from our thoughts. Our thoughts are powerful because they lead us forward into action.
Where are your thoughts leading you? toward anxiety, anger, bitterness and conflict or toward clarity, peace, creativity, emotional balance or agility and solidarity?
One way to learn how to see or recognize what motivates us is a practice of solitude this is a skill that can be acquired and developed. Think about ways we know that can help us identify and or quiet the thoughts in our heads and gain a level of clarity, meditation, prayer, physical or spiritual retreats, internal mental retreats, therapy, etc…
Even though it may sound cliche my sense is that looking inward and resolving or coming to terms with who we are on the inside is the first step to significant outward actions.
