Fear can motivate and drive us to do the impossible. Fear can also stop us in our tracks and keep from trying to do anything. I think its fear of failure, specifically, that hinders most of us.
Since it is unlikely that fear will not be present, how does one turn fear into a motivator?
One way is the idea of negative visualization. Its a technique from Stoic philosophy, the essential idea is remind ourselves that what we have is temporary and can be gone at the blink of an eye and this bleak view can motivate us to make the most of what we have right now recognizing it can be gone at any moment.
